Where to Stay

Ojai Valley Inn! –They recently redid it and it’s beautiful inside and out!

Hotel El Roblar – Originally opened in 1919– and the choice hotel for LA Mafia and Frank Sinatra’s weekend getaway- the hotel was closed for six years and recently reopened. The vibe is cozy and cool– and you are steps away from downtown Ojai.

Hummingbird Inn-  For a stay that is easier on the wallet — we loved this spot. It’s motel-ish, but the decor is warm and simple and Ojai-cool.

Where to Eat and Drink

We loved the ambiance of Nocciola, a restaurant set inside an old farmhouse, especially sitting outside on the porch.

You’ll probably want to have coffee and breakfast at Beacon every morning. Don’t miss their shop!

The Dutchess- This is such a yummy spot for brunch, lunch and probably dinner! The potatoes are not to be missed!

Ojai Rotie– We sat on the patio, sipping róse and enjoying our yummy fatouch. Great for lunch or dinner!

The Nest– The Fish tacos are not to be missed!

Rory’s Place- This place is buzzy… fun drinks and oysters. The menu is eclectic — maybe not for kids.

Ojai Valley Brewery-  Casual spot, great for groups.

What to Do

Take a hike on the Shelf Road trail. There are many variations of the hike depending on the level and if someone forgets their running shoes and has to hike in flip flops you can stay on the fire road -haha!

Catch the power yoga class at Peak Power Yoga with Ellen -your arms will thank you later!

Ojai Valley Trail Riding company is a great place for a trail ride.

The Sisar trail, in Upper Ojai is lovey– stream-side the whole way!

Shopping:

Carly Home– Goods primarily designed by local Carly–loved the PJ (so soft) and table top!

Sunday’s Designs

Inyun Collective- Very cool shop for men and women on a side street… has a Japanese vibe

Fig Ojai

Findings Flea– A well organized vintage shop- if you can dig, you will be rewarded!
