Where to Stay
Almost everything we like to do at Sea Island is ON the island (besides the resort golf courses). If you book through Sea Island and stay at the Cloisters or at the Cottages you will have full access to all of the amenities. Booking through an outside source like VRBO there is a good chance you won’t have resort cards and won’t be able to access the beach club.
The Cloister is a beautiful resort with old world charm. It overlooks the marsh (beautiful), is across the street from the beach club and has three amazing restaurants in the lobby.
The Cottages are a combo of houses and townhomes up and down the island. I prefer to stay here when traveling with our family as we then have our own kitchen, have more space to spread out and many have their own pools. When booking a cottage the streets with lower numbers are closer to the Beach Club and Cloisters. Everything on the island is close though, and the very end of the island is just a quick bike ride to the beach club.
